Prince Muhammad Dawood Khan was born in 18 July 1909 in Kabul Afghanistan. He is the oldest son of Prince Mohammad Aziz Khan. Prince Dawood lost his father in 1933 in Berlin. After his fathers death Prince Dawood and his brother Naem khan were Under-care Of his uncle HRH Prince Hashim khan. Prince dawood khan be come a student of politics. He educated in France. Prince Dawood did not prefigure himself Shah, establishing instead a republic with himself as President of Afghanistan.
